Most of our clients are surprised at how reasonable the charges are for a home visit. However, because of the costs associated with traveling to your home, the fees may be higher than those charged by your regular veterinarian. Every situation is unique, so the exact cost for services will depend on a variety of factors, such as:
-Your location
-The weight of your pet
-Need for and type of aftercare desired
-Timing of appointment (e.g. Weekday, Weekend, or Evening)

An estimate of the charges:
- $275: Basic housecall visit and euthanasia or initial hospice exam and evaluation
- $50: Additional fee for weekend or evening appointment
- $80-150: Additional Cost for aftercare - Country Burial OR
- $200-350: Additional Cost for aftercare - Private Cremation
- $75: Fee for up to 30 minute telephone consultation

Please note: the cost of aftercare does not include the cost of the housecall
visit and euthanasia (see Aftercare Page for additional information).

There may be additional fees for travel outside of our regular service area (See below) and for very large pets (e.g. above 90 lbs.). Please call or e-mail for further information or a more detailed quote.

Payment Options:
Cash or checks (made payable to Dr. Anthony Smith) are preferred. If you would like to pay via credit card (Visa, M/C, American Express), this can be arranged (with an additional $10-15 processing fee) as long as you notify us in advance of the appointment. If you prefer, we can also arrange payment prior to the appointment through PayPal.
